The Refugee Folkloric Group “I Adouloti” Shakalli, successfully participated the 27th International Folklore Festival in Šumperk, Czech Republic that took place from 16 until 21 of August 2017. This Festival was under CIOFF - IOV and had several dancing groups from different countries all over the world, such as China, France, Portugal, Algeria, Turkey, Serbia, Slovakia and Czech Rep.

The Group with a delegation of 31 people - dancers, musicians, escorts - presented traditional Cypriot dances and performed Cypriot songs.

The Group had the chance to perform at the Main Stage of the Festival, in smaller stages and be part of a parade into the main streets of Šumperk.
Official and non-official meetings took place with locals and leaders of the other Dancing Groups in order to promote the Cypriot culture and exhange presents and views. All the members managed to give the best image of our culture and made new friendships, worthily represented Cyprus and showed the love for the culture and tradition of the island.
